A Few Of My Favorite Things....
It was a busy weekend here at my house as usual & with the torrential downpours we had it was hard to venture out on saturday. I decided to move things around a bit & re-vamp for the spring. As I was dragging pieces into other rooms & re-arranging artwork & pillows etc... I realized that there are just some things that must stay out in plain site to enjoy because they are my absolute favorite things. These things are special because there is either sentiment attached to them or they are just plain wonderful to look at & give me a feeling of complete happiness when I look at them. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite things........
Roses my husband gave me a week ago drying beautfiully in a vase for a future project
This is a new "special piece" bought last week at a wonderful french inspired shop I visited called The French Market. It is fast becoming one of my favorite things!
My "made to look old" architectural piece I picked up a few years back. Here's a closeup below
I vamped it up with some french & some painted flowers

This hangs in my office
Decorative Boxes purchased at home goods a few years ago
A few Christie Repasy canvas prints that get moved around a lot~LOVE THEM!
A favorite spring wreath~this picture makes me realize it's time to shine the brass door handle!LOL!
A total splurge one day last year in an upscale antiques shop
I don't know who she is~fell in love with the frame & then fell in love with her when I got this home. She hangs above a gorgeous painted piece in my hallway
A totally awesome french chair my mom bought for me when we were out antiquiqing one day~not happy with what I covered the seat in. When I find the right shade of soft minty green velvet I'll be happy!
Look at this adorable watering can! My neice & nephew gave this to me at Christmas
I bought this fabulous hand painted screen at my friend Roberta's shop Enchanted Treasures in Fairhaven Ma.
A favorite picture of my two favorite people (the grandkids) they go from room to room always lol
A topiary my dear friend Peggy & I made together (she was the brains behind it!)
This wonderful print hangs in my kitchen~aren't the colors fabulous?!
Old silver, a single rose & shiny silver french buttons
Although this is not in my home, I sure wish it was my home! This home is not far from our beach house. To me it looks like snow white & the seven dwarfs live here~I LOVE IT! Just look at the roof below~PRECIOUS!
This sits near my computer & reminds me that even when there are bad days you need to "LAUGH" & I really do!

Chris, your favorite things are just beautiful! I think my "favorite" of your favorites is the painting of the girl with the flowers in her lap. Honestly my heart skipped a beat when I saw her.

Oh Chris,

Wonderful post Chris. It really shows the true "you" seeing things that are near & dear to you. The wreath you have is soooo unusual - very cool. And girl you have to do a tutorial on how you made that topiary!!! I love that! Love the scale of it and it is so feminine, not too bushy or imposing.

Fabulous favorites, indeed! I love the kitchen piece with flower shop written on it! Yes the colors are great. It is fun to move things around then they seem new again!
