We're Off To Florida!

LOVE this print of a pretty beach, a drink & seats for two in sunny Florida! Only it won't be hubby & I, it will be the kids & I!  We are off again~this time for school vacation. I am taking my two grandchildren & my two neices to my parents winter home in Naples for the week of school vacation.  Should be fun! The Pool, The beach, shopping of course with three teenage girls & hopefully a chance to take my grandson Cole to Ft. Myers to watch the Red Sox practice during their Spring training. Hubby will stay home this time~I'll miss him but, we'll be back on Saturday, hopefully rested & once again tan! LOL! We'll take lots of pictures~See you when we get back! xo

We're BACK!!!!

Our vacation was a BLAST!!! The cruise soooo relaxing & the weather couldn't have been better. Baked in the sun & ate like kings & queens!!! I haven't stepped on the scale yet-I'm scared! I managed to run twice & use the eliptical but I fear the damage has been done! The food was delicious, Grand Cayman & Jamaica so tropical & beautiful & the sea was smooth as glass! Still had to wear the seasick patch just to be sure which made me kind of drowsy, but so much better than an upset tummy! Lots of laughs & met some really lovely people which made it that much more memorable!!! Then it was off to Naples for 5 days to visit my parents at their winter home! As much as I loved getting away, the BEST part of any trip for me is coming home. Home is truly where my heart is. It's where my cozy bed is & where the people I love most in the world are. I really missed my grandkids towards the end of our trip. Anyway.... It's back to the cold weather & the daily grind, which is a-okay with me! I can take just so much relaxing & then I get antsy! I'm happy to get back to catch up on website work, shipping & putting the finishing touches on projects I have neglected due to the holidays & our trip! I'm off again in a few weeks back to Florida with my neices & grandkids so they can visit my mom & dad for the week of school vacation so I will go at warp speed to catch up here!

I need to  mention that my adorable little brother Christopher was the "STAR" of the cruise!!! He won a karaoke contest in front of about 500 people & became buddies with all the wonderful service people on the ship!!! YA MON was a favorite greeting between Chris & his friends! He met an adorable "special" girl & had her name tattoed (not permanent!LOL!) on his arm! Her name is Elise & she came with her wonderful family from Chicago! It was so nice to spend time with these lovely people & watch Christopher & Elise dance & just have fun! Elise has the same loving, supportive & protective family that Christopher does & she too is the glue that holds her family all together! This was the head waiter Jacob who I recognized from our very FIRST cruise 16 years ago! He said he remembered us (yeah right!LOL!) He had jet black hair 16 years ago, but then again so did I!

Lots to do this week to get ready for a much needed vacation with my overworked hubby, my little brother Christopher  (Hef)  & our dear friends Sandy & Lou! I will miss blogging & website work & keeping up with my daily chats on-line with friends but..... I AM SO EXCITED to feel the sun on my skin & to just do NOTHING for a bit! We are heading to Ft. Lauderdale & then boarding the "Enchantment Of The Seas" for a 5 day cruise to Grand Cayman Island & Jamaica & then back to Ft. Lauderdale & over to Naples Fl. to see my mom & dad at their winter home for a few days! Should be fun(if I don't end up getting seasick! ughhh!) My husband promises me the Carribean is a lot smoother than the Atlantic~either way I am stocking up on Bonine! LOL! We are hoping to see our neighbors who lived just a few doors down from us & moved to Grand Cayman a few years back! I of course need to email them so they know we will be in port for a day! We haven't been on a crusie ship for 8 years , so I'm hoping we can get internet access wherever we are on the high seas. I have so much shipping to do before we leave & soooo much packing (you know how we women are about having enough of the right stuff to wear!) I swear my husband could just take a gym bag with him when he travels & I have two suitcase full already! LOL!It's such a treat to be able to go south after the holidays & we usually fly straight to Naples for a week or so & spend some time with my parents just relaxing, beaching it & doing some shopping. Last year we squeezed in a trip to the Keys for my 50th birthday. I really look forward to this get-a-way with my husband & our friends every year. I will be back on the 22nd with lots of half done projects to finish & hopefully a killer tan!  Yes, I'm still one of those who loves to get dark & toasty brown! LOL! I keep upping the age that I will STOP the tanning &  am late by about 11 years! Here are some pics of our cruise ship~You'll notice the BEST picture & the one I'm looking MOST forward to is the incredible food!!! I hope to counteract this eating frenzy with lots of excersize early in the morning! So bye for now~I will miss blogging & my dear blog friends! xo
