Penny @ Lavender Hill Studio & The Comforts of Home

Oh, I would LOVE and AGA!!! That would be my dream. I want a larger kitchen than I have with a big vintage beat up wood table in the center. I use to think marble counter tops, but now I would rather have solid surface. I would get a huge marble cutting board for rolling out pastries or kneeding bread.

I just love the Northstar Range in Buttercup Yellow.

I want an entirelly retro pink kitchen with matching fridge & stove!! Ah, Dare to Dream!!

sigh...my kitchen is so in need of a face lift! and yes, an AGA would be dreamy. Although you DO have to learn how to cook differently with it. But I have total kitchen envy looking at those photos.

Oh that stove is a dream. I would love it. I so understand what you mean about the kitchen. I too am half Italian and love to cook. My kitchen is the heart of our home as well. Our friends and family gather and it becomes a dining and meeting place aorund food and fun. It was the same in my mother's and her mother before her. The tradition goes on and I love it.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. Hope to see you again.
Have a wonderful week in the kitchen.

Your Valentines sounds like fun and laughs.

Oh, an AGA! That would be my dream!

Sara's Sweet Surprise

I've just strolled into your charming blog for the first time... I've lived in my home over 26 years. I've always wanted a large kitchen with design elements from your photos. As the years have passed I've realized I could take some of the design elements I've seen and apply them to my very small kitchen. Surrounding myself with the same colors and textures. I continue to enjoy cooking in my small space, but relish in the fact it's beauty is grand in my eyes.

Sweet Wishes,

Interesting that I know someone in the area who has a red Aga, don't know if she would be your gardening client though. As much as I love to cook I have always just had to make do with a "regular" stove although the one I have now has a convection type oven which I love. No gas in this part of town, so electric has to do and I have always wanted double ovens for holiday cooking. I tell myself that someday I will have my dream kitchen, but after so many years of using what I have, the dream kitchen lives on in my head, with many changes over the years, but oddly enough it is no longer necessary to have it in "real" life. I think I am becoming grateful for what I *do* have as I age ( gracefully).

I think I want that red one in the picture.
It's a beauty!!!

Oh Chris....you hit a sore spot with me on this one! We don't have gas lines in our neighborhood and I would LOVE to have ANY kind of a gas oven. I HATE our electric oven and cooktop, they are so uneven and don't get the job done right!!! Sounds like you had a fun Valentine's Day. We are supposed to go to a friend's 50th b'day this weekend with a disco theme. What do I wear~ LOL! XOXO~ Fufu

Hi Chris
Hmmmm I have never heard of one of those. My kitchen desperatley needs a makeover and oh how beautiful one of those would look in our log cabin. Especially the red one!
Well we aren't swapping stoves but if you are in the mood for a fun swap stop over at my blog and join in on the fun.

Dawn-Hydrangea Home

Those stoves are beautiful. I would love a commercial stainless steel oven when I redo my kitchen. My kids all love to cook with me and we definitely need more space! Sounds like a fun Valentine's Day!

LOVE those Aga stoves...I've dreamed about having one for years, but alas! ~Stacy~ xo

Is that your white kitchen Chris?? It is incredible! I would love to own a viking stove too, perhaps one day...
Enjoy yoru new stove, you deserve it!

The Aga has always been my dream oven. I have heard they are really hard to cook on though. I hope this is not true because I would love one someday.

Artful Dreamer Design

Absolutely gorgeous stoves! Love the detail on them. Mine are getting rather used looking, but I can't even decide on a color for the kitchen walls let alone new appliances {baby steps - baby steps} Just wanted to pop in to say Chris. I started up an itty bitty blog, come visit me some time. Miss chatting chickie! Jen

looks like we are all gaga over the AGA.

Hi Chris~ ~ ~

What a great topic. I'll give you my electric glass top stove for a gas anything. It's a JennAir and the heat is so uneven and I can't adjust the heat like I can with a gas stove. It so difficult to get an even low simmer.. .and the ovens, let's not even go there.
You know I have a fairly small kitchen, I really should measure it sometime. We moved in in August and I am finding it is just the right size to cook in efficiently. Two other kitchens I owned were just too big. Here I can almost stand in one spot and reach everything. I never thought I would say this but I love it. Sometime soon I'll have to post pics.

I liked the AGA also - but I worked on a photo shoot in a house with an AGA during the summer-
It made the house hot hot HOT all day
- So hot- we could hardly stand it- it was hard to work-it was nearly unbearable. We all thought we were going to DIE. The heat those things give off--- just never goes away.

I'm not a big fan of hot...

take care

Hi Chris!

Stopped by to say hi and see what you are up to?!

Can't wait to stop by and see more!

Have a great week!

Beautiful post - I have a Godin that's stunning but nevertheless, my dream is to own an Aga (the real thing) one day :)

Anita @ The Pink Funny Farm

From one Italian cook (that loves to eat as much as feed people)to another: pass on the Viking. I have one, and do not like it as well as the others that I have learned about. Its been a while since I've blogged around, but your blog is beautiful as always!

You have wonderful taste. I just bought a blue 4 oven and wonder what kind of backsplash to use. I have a wood floor and cabinets. My counters will be a dark granite. I want to stay contemporary but not so that it will look dated. What would you do? I live the US so it is hard to get pictures..
